Role Description The Senior Vice President at Conviction VC is a full-time remote role responsible for leading investment initiatives, overseeing deal execution, and guiding portfolio strategy. This position drives the sourcing and evaluation of investment opportunities, including market mapping, financial modeling, due diligence, and preparation of investment memoranda for internal review. The Senior Vice President collaborates with founders and executive teams of portfolio companies to support strategic planning, fundraising, governance, and key growth initiatives. Daily activities include managing junior team members, refining investment theses, monitoring portfolio performance, and contributing to firm-wide strategic projects. The role also involves representing Conviction VC in external meetings, building relationships across the venture ecosystem, and continually enhancing internal processes and analytical frameworks.
Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in venture capital, private equity, or growth equity, including sourcing, due diligence, and deal execution. Strong financial and analytical skills, such as financial modeling, valuation, market analysis, and performance benchmarking. Experience advising or operating within high-growth companies, with proven ability to support strategy, operations, and scaling initiatives. Advanced communication and relationship-building skills, including the ability to influence stakeholders and present complex ideas clearly. Leadership experience managing and developing high-performing teams in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Comfort working remotely with distributed teams, using digital tools for collaboration, project management, and data sharing. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is beneficial but not required. High level of integrity, sound judgment, and commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory professional practices. Interest in emerging technologies, innovation, and the broader startup ecosystem, with a proactive approach to continuous learning.
