Role Description The Senior Vice President of Operations is a full-time, remote role responsible for overseeing end-to-end operations across transportation and warehousing activities. This role leads operational strategy, establishes performance goals, and ensures alignment with company objectives while managing cross-functional teams. Day-to-day responsibilities include directing operations management initiatives, monitoring key performance indicators, and ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards. The Senior Vice President of Operations will oversee P&L performance, optimize resource utilization, and support long-term growth through data-driven decision-making. The role also involves partnering with customer-facing teams to maintain high levels of customer service, leading strategic planning efforts, and guiding project management activities for process improvements and new initiatives.

Qualifications

Demonstrated expertise in Operations Management, including optimizing transportation and warehousing workflows and implementing process improvements. Strong P&L Management skills, with a track record of overseeing budgets, cost controls, and financial performance for large, complex operations. Proven ability in Customer Service, including building client relationships, resolving issues, and maintaining service-level commitments. Strategic Planning capabilities, such as developing long-term operational strategies, setting priorities, and aligning resources with business goals. Project Management experience, including leading cross-functional projects, managing timelines and risks, and delivering measurable outcomes. Extensive leadership experience in transportation, logistics, or related industries, with the ability to lead distributed teams in a remote environment. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with proficiency in using data and technology to drive decisions. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA or similar) is preferred.
