Signal Integrity Engineer with high-speed and Ansys
Role Description The Signal Integrity Engineer (High-Speed & Ansys) contract role is a remote position focused on ensuring robust signal and power integrity for high-speed electronic systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and analyzing high-speed circuits and interconnects, performing signal and power integrity simulations using Ansys tools, and evaluating PCB layouts to mitigate issues such as crosstalk, reflections, and EMI. The engineer will collaborate with hardware, PCB layout, and systems teams to validate design concepts, define constraints, and review test plans. The role also involves interpreting measurement data from lab instruments, documenting analysis results, and providing design guidelines to improve overall system performance and reliability. This is a contract, remote role that requires proactive communication with cross-functional teams and adherence to project timelines.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Circuit Design and Analog principles for high-speed digital and mixed-signal systems. Demonstrated experience with Power Integrity analysis, including decoupling strategies and power distribution network optimization. Proficiency in Electromagnetics concepts applied to PCB design, interconnect modeling, and high-speed channel analysis. Hands-on experience using lab equipment such as a Spectrum Analyzer for signal characterization and validation. Experience with Ansys (e.g., HFSS, SIwave) or similar simulation tools for signal and power integrity analysis. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. Ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment and manage multiple tasks in a contract setting. Strong documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and quality. Familiarity with high-speed interfaces (e.g., PCIe, DDR, SerDes) and PCB layout best practices is highly beneficial. Experience in cross-functional collaboration with hardware design, layout, and test teams is a plus.
