United Language Group is seeking fluent bilingual speakers as Independent Contractors for on-demand and pre-scheduled over-the-phone interpretations for Slovak..The Interpreter must have a strong command of English and target language.They must follow the professional Code of Ethics as outlined by IMIA and NCIHC.Essential Duties Responsibilities :Interpret between English and Slovak languages.Maintain the appropriate tone of voice, register and observe cultural nuancesMaintain professionalism through attitude, and interpreting serviceDemonstrate excellent customer service skillsMust have a reliable phone line and an adequate work environment to process the calls.Remote (work-from-home)Qualifications :Proficient in English and Slovak languagesStrong knowledge of professional Code of Ethics and privacy laws (HIPAA)Excellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to remain calm and compassionate when dealing with difficult people and crisis situationsFlexible availabilityPreferred Qualifications :NBCMI or CCHI certification is preferredCompletion of a healthcare interpretation program or at least 2 years of consistent medical interpretation experienceMinimum (6) six months experience of over-the-phone interpretationJ-18808-Ljbffr.
