Special Education Teacher - Brighton, CO
Make a difference as a Special Education Teacher working onsite at a high school near the Brighton area. This full-time contract opportunity runs from early February through early May and involves supporting a dedicated resource caseload. You'll play an essential role in helping students reach their potential while collaborating closely with other educators in a dynamic environment. Key Qualifications:
- Must be a flexible, collaborative team player
- At least one year of classroom experience required
- Possession of, or active progress towards, a valid CDE license (please note: candidates with only a TEE are not eligible)
- Ability to provide a copy of an active CDE license or COOL with your application (essential for interview consideration)
Role Overview:
- Work onsite to support students at the high school level within a resource caseload
- Design and implement differentiated instructional strategies adapted to individual student needs
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate, thorough documentation
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, team planning sessions, and ongoing communication with staff and families
- Adhere to school and district policies, with a focus on inclusivity and positive student outcomes
This is a full-time, 37.5-hour-per-week position with 35 hours paid work and 2.5 hours unpaid lunch.
