Sr. Business Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Business Analyst in Oil and Gas with report-development experience for a 100% remote position, preferably in Texas. This is a year-long contract position that can be renewed for 3 years. Candidates without Oil and Gas report-development experience will be rejected. Duties and Responsibilities: - Use multiple methods to gather, develop, and document requirements - Review, assess, and improve business processes - Create and validate user acceptance tests - Provide research and special-project support to users - Analyze and document multiple interrelated report-related projects - Focus on data, including analysis, root-cause analysis of data errors, data flow documentation, report development, and posting data to the Open Data Portal or the client's website - Ensure that deliverables and materials are produced and maintained in accordance with established processes and procedures, are of consistent quality, and use accepted business analysis methodologies - May assign and/or supervise the work of others - Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude to use initiative and independent judgment Requirements: - 8 years experience: Strong interpersonal, collaborative, analytical, written/verbal/presentation communication skills in English - 8 years experience in gathering requirements and creating reports - 8 years experience facilitating creation and analysis of business requirements and working with business area personnel to design technical solutions - 5 years experience participating in and providing guidance to business, and in developing and completing user acceptance testing, training, and implementation-related activities - 2 years experience with Snowflake and Power BI - 2 years experience in the Oil and Gas industry - Requires knowledge and background in Power BI, Snowflake, and data publishing Additional notes: - Remote/work location: 100% remote, preferably in Texas - Contract length: year-long with potential for renewal for 3 years
