Sr. ServiceNow Developer
W2 Contract : Senior ServiceNow Developer Location: Atlanta, GA (Remote Opportunity) Job Overview We are looking for an experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer to design, develop, and support enterprise ServiceNow applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in custom application development, platform configuration, integrations, and technical leadership. Remote candidates are acceptable, with local candidates preferred.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and deploy ServiceNow applications and enhancements. Build upgrade-safe custom applications using App Engine Studio, scoped applications, and platform APIs. Develop user experiences using Configurable Workspace, UI Builder, UI Policies, and Client Scripts. Implement and support integrations using Scripted REST APIs, IntegrationHub, REST, and JSON. Develop and optimize server-side scripts, including Script Includes, Business Rules, and GlideRecord queries. Configure Flow Designer, reusable actions, subflows, and automation workflows. Apply platform governance, security controls, naming conventions, and development standards. Collaborate with stakeholders and participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and change reviews. Review code, mentor developers, troubleshoot production issues, and maintain technical documentation. Support platform upgrades, release management, and long-term application stability. Required Qualifications 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience in enterprise environments. 3+ years of experience developing and maintaining custom applications using App Engine Studio and scoped applications. 3+ years of experience with Configurable Workspace, UI Builder, UI Policies, and Client Scripts. 3+ years of experience implementing inbound and outbound integrations using Scripted REST APIs and IntegrationHub. 3+ years of experience with platform governance, security controls, and architectural best practices. 3+ years of experience working in Agile or sprint-based delivery environments. 3+ years of experience mentoring developers, conducting code reviews, and promoting development standards. Strong knowledge of JavaScript, GlideRecord, Script Includes, Business Rules, Flow Designer, ACLs, and role-based access controls. Experience with REST integrations, JSON data exchange, troubleshooting, and technical documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA). ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD). ITIL 4 Foundation or equivalent ITSM experience. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
