Job description
Title: Senior Visual Designer – CGS Group Reports to: Local Creative Lead (dotted-line to Senior Art Director – New York)
Role summary
The Senior Visual Designer will be the primary owner of CGS Group’s visual design systems, turning brand guidelines and art direction from New York into scalable templates, toolkits, and high-quality static assets. This role balances hands-on production with system thinking and mentorship, helping two local-based Visual Designers deliver high-volume, on-brand work across channels.
Key responsibilities
- Translate the CGS, Blue Cherry, CGS Nexus, and CGS Immersive brand guidelines into practical templates and components for digital, social, presentations, and sales collateral.
- Lead the design of complex or high-visibility assets: campaign key visuals, product launch creatives, event graphics, and core decks.
- Build and maintain design libraries in Figma and/or Adobe tools, including layouts, iconography, chart styles, and reusable components.
- Collaborate with the Senior Art Director in New York to adapt and evolve global visual systems for use in local production.
- Guide and review the work of Visual Designers, providing clear, constructive feedback and ensuring each deliverable meets brand and quality standards.
- Work closely with the Hybrid Video & Motion team to provide storyboards, style frames, and static assets for video and animation.
- Use AI design and image tools (where appropriate) to quickly explore concepts, create variations, or generate reference imagery, then refine outputs to production quality.
- Ensure consistency in typography, colour, hierarchy, and layout across all deliverables.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of experience as a visual/graphic designer in an agency or in-house marketing environment.
- Strong portfolio across digital marketing, web, social media, presentation design, and sales/marketing collateral.
- Expert-level skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign; strong competency in Figma or Adobe XD.
- Demonstrated experience working with brand systems and design libraries.
- Exposure to or interest in motion/video is a plus, but deep motion expertise is not required.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted design tools and openness to experimenting with new workflows.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and comfort working in a fast-paced, multi-brand environment.
- Good communication skills in English and experience collaborating with remote teams.
- Should have an exposure using power point extensively and making the presentations
