Subject Matter Expert for BS Electrical Engineering
Western Governors University (WGU) is seeking Subject Matter Experts to participate in design and development projects for our BS Electrical Engineering courses. This position is 100% remote . Subject Matter Experts provide valuable real-world knowledge and experience to the design and development of the degree programs and courses we offer our students. This is a part-time/project-based position in which you would work with WGU as an Independent Contractor. Must reside in the United States . LinkedIn Applicants - please include a contact email address Subject Matter Experts should meet the following criteria : BS in Electrical Engineering Technology from an ABET-accredited U.S. institution. Master's degree and/or PhD preferred. 3-5 years of experience teaching undergraduate electrical engineering or a closely related field.) Semiconductor, Electronics, and experience modeling physical systems (whether circuits, robotics, etc.) through MATLAB/ Simulink is preferred. Project Information Dates: 10/26 to 1/08 (End dates will vary and are subject to slight change) Location : Remote Time commitment: Approximately 70 hours (Design)/30 hours (Development). Compensation: $4,500.00 - $5,650.00 (Design)/$2,700.00 (Development) Other compensation and benefits : This position is for an independent contractor and is not eligible for other compensation or benefits. Scope of work: Design - Assist in the course design of this new product, to include development of course competencies, learning resource identification, and assessment details. Development - Assist in the course development of this new product. Work to include development of course content, reviewing LRs, and assisting with all aspects of assessment work.
