The Expertise We’re Looking For
- B.A. or B.S. degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field. An M.B.A. is a plus.
- 15+ years of experience providing people and rewards advisory consulting services for large, sophisticated, multinational clients, with direct business development experience to drive revenue at a top consulting firm.

The Purpose of Your Role
As a Senior Vice President (SVP) and Workforce Rewards Strategy and Design Leader, you will have four key areas of responsibility:
- Strategic leadership and planning: You will lead the vision, business strategy and growth plan for the Rewards Practice’s compensation advisory services. This includes understanding and evaluating client needs that drive demand for compensation consulting support, establishing an annual revenue growth goal, and applying your growth strategy and vision to profitably grow the practice and drive sustainable revenue. As a senior leader, you’ll also identify and spearhead new opportunities for growth—for example, through additional consulting solutions, products, and partnerships. You’ll also play a key role in coaching team members to help them develop the skills and subject matter expertise needed to provide valuable insights and services to our clients and achieve their own career vitality and growth at Fidelity.
- Consulting sales and delivery: You will have an individual sales goal and will be responsible for leading the sales and delivery of compensation advisory services. You’ll have a vision on how to best navigate this increasingly complex marketplace and how to effectively guide the design, development and implementation of customized compensation strategies and Total Reward programs. You’ll lead the development of advisory sales materials and client proposals and will partner with consulting colleagues and managing/account directors to expand existing client relationships and introduce new clients to the firm.
- Business contributions and thought leadership: You will serve as a compensation subject matter expert and thought leader across a broad spectrum of offerings including:
- Benchmarking, design and implementation of variable compensation programs, including short- and long-term compensation, sales compensation and bonus plans
- Design and development of recommendations for compensation structures and competitive markets, and creating or providing updates to job architecture, career pathing, and salary structures
- Utilization of market data and surveys to make recommendations regarding changes in salary plans
The Skills You Bring
- You are recognized as highly credible when dealing with senior level client contacts. You are highly collaborative but have the perspective and the confidence to appropriately challenge assumptions and influence outcomes at all levels.
- You possess well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills and have the ability to understand each client’s business needs to propose the best solutions. You enjoy seeking answers to workforce-related challenges and strive to deliver innovative solutions to clients tailored to their business needs.
- You possess a commercial outlook, understand human behavior, and use that knowledge to influence and craft people strategies that have substantial impact on business outcomes.
- You have proven leadership skills including relationship building, influencing, and negotiation, and you welcome ownership of revenue and client delivery outcomes.
- You have a keen interest and commitment to helping others succeed and a demonstrated ability to work with and influence others across groups.
The Value You Will Deliver
- Collaborating with colleagues in Fidelity Workplace Consulting to identify client challenges and craft solutions.
- Leading efforts to secure new business for consulting and the broader organization.
- Building, leading and growing client relationships by delivering a superior level of customer satisfaction with every engagement, and identifying opportunities to introduce new consulting capabilities.
- Defining scope, managing budgets, and shaping client deliverables created by team members, giving feedback and guidance to them in a way that encourages their continuous growth and development.
- Creating sustainable and profitable client relationships and ensuring quality work products are delivered.
- Contributing to thought leadership across consulting and Fidelity.
- Working with other areas across Fidelity to deliver integrated solutions.
- Managing associates and mentoring all those with whom you work.
