Remote Position

Technical Product Manager – Consumer Fitness App (iOS)

🌍 Remote · United States 💼 Full-time

We’re building Pyndra, an iOS app that turns the workout videos people save on TikTok and Instagram into structured training plans. We’re looking for a technical product manager with a strong understanding of fitness and training to work closely with our CEO and engineering team on a ~5-6 month contract (~20–30 hrs/week), starting with a short paid trial project. Our CEO sets the long-term vision but has limited day-to-day time, so you’ll be the person who keeps product and engineering moving between check-ins, and who helps make sure the app feels right to people who actually train. What you’ll do: -Turn early ideas and long-term goals into clear specs, user stories, and priorities, working with the CEO to refine them -Bring a fitness-industry perspective to the product: identify gaps in the market, what existing fitness apps get wrong, and where Pyndra can stand out. We’re open to new directions, so we want someone with their own ideas about where fitness products are headed, not just someone who executes a roadmap. -Run day-to-day work with our engineers: track progress, unblock issues, and keep the roadmap on schedule -When something isn’t feasible, work with engineering to find a better solution or adjust the scope and specs -Use engagement and usage data to spot problems and opportunities, and propose features or changes based on what you find -Send the CEO short, regular updates on progress, risks, and decisions that need input Ideally you have: -Experience as a PM on a consumer mobile app, ideally in fitness, health, or wellness -A real understanding of fitness and training, whether from building fitness products, coaching, or serious personal training experience -A technical background or enough technical depth to have real conversations with engineers about tradeoffs -Comfort working independently and asynchronously with a small, fast-moving team -A data-driven approach to product decisions In your proposal, please share: (1) a product or feature you took from idea to launch, and your role, (2) your background in fitness, and (3) one major gap you see in today’s fitness apps, and how Pyndra could fill it. Compensation: around $8–10K per month for 20–30 hrs/week, depending on experience.
