Role Description The Vice President Information System is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing the firm’s information technology strategy, systems, and security in support of alternative investment operations. This role manages the design, implementation, and maintenance of core IT infrastructure, applications, and data management platforms used across Hedge Fund and Private Equity activities. Daily responsibilities include supervising technology projects, coordinating with business stakeholders to streamline processes, ensuring robust network and data security measures, and monitoring system performance and compliance. The Vice President will lead and mentor IT team members, manage vendor relationships, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reliability, and scalability of information systems. The position requires close collaboration with senior leadership to align technology priorities with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Information Technology skills, including systems architecture, infrastructure management, and application support. Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills to interpret data, evaluate system performance, and support technology-related decision-making. Candidates should possess Business Process expertise to map, optimize, and integrate workflows across investment, operations, and risk management functions. Candidates should possess Network Security skills to design, implement, and maintain secure environments, including access controls, encryption, and incident response. Candidates should possess Project Management capabilities to lead cross-functional initiatives, manage timelines and budgets, and deliver technology solutions on schedule. Experience in financial services or alternative investments (Hedge Funds, Private Equity) is highly beneficial. Proficiency in regulatory and compliance requirements related to information systems and data protection is an advantage. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote and distributed team environment. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
