Role Description The Vice President of Financial Planning is a full-time remote role responsible for leading the financial planning function and shaping the long-term financial strategy of GFR SMC TRADING. This role oversees budget development, forecasts, and cash flow planning, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing financial performance, preparing and reviewing financial reports, advising on investment and capital allocation decisions, and optimizing risk-adjusted returns in the Forex trading environment. The Vice President collaborates with executive leadership, trading, and operations teams to support strategic initiatives, implement financial controls, and enhance overall financial health and transparency. This position also manages and mentors team members, promotes best practices in financial planning, and contributes to continuous improvement of tools, processes, and reporting.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in Financial Planning and Finance, with the ability to design and implement comprehensive long-term financial strategies. Advanced Analytical Skills to interpret complex financial data, market trends, and risk scenarios for decision-making. Proficiency in Financial Reporting, including development, review, and presentation of accurate, timely reports to senior leadership and stakeholders. Knowledge of Investment Strategies, particularly within Forex and global markets, to guide capital allocation and portfolio decisions. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or similar) or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) are highly beneficial. Proven leadership experience in a senior finance or financial planning role, preferably in trading, financial services, or related sectors. Comfort working in a remote environment, with strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills. Demonstrated ability to build and improve financial models, budgeting frameworks, and forecasting tools. High ethical standards, attention to detail, and commitment to transparent and compliant financial practices.
