Role Description The Vice President of Marketing and Business Development is a full-time remote role responsible for driving strategic growth and brand positioning for Dark Frame VFX Studio. This role designs and executes comprehensive marketing plans, oversees campaign development, and ensures consistent brand messaging across digital and traditional channels. The Vice President leads market and competitive analysis, identifies new business opportunities, nurtures key client relationships, and builds partnerships in target industries such as media, entertainment, gaming, and advertising. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with production and creative teams on go-to-market strategies, managing marketing budgets, guiding the marketing and business development teams, and setting measurable performance goals. The role also leads public relations initiatives, represents the studio at industry events (virtual and in-person as needed), and contributes to long-term strategic planning.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Marketing Management and Marketing, with experience developing and executing integrated marketing strategies. Proficiency in Market Planning and Market Research, including segmentation, positioning, and competitive analysis. Experience in Public Relations, media outreach, and reputation management for creative or tech-focused organizations. Proven leadership in business development, client acquisition, and account growth within animation, VFX, media, or related creative industries. Ability to build and lead high-performing remote teams, set KPIs, and use data-driven decision-making for campaign optimization. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with comfort interacting with executive-level stakeholders and clients. Familiarity with digital marketing channels, content marketing, social media, and brand storytelling for visual media services. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field; advanced degree or equivalent experience is beneficial. Demonstrated success in senior marketing or business development roles, ideally at the director or VP level.
