Position OverviewBrightward Financial is seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President of Operations to lead operational strategy, strengthen organizational effectiveness, and drive the execution of key business objectives. This executive will oversee core operational functions, optimize internal processes, establish performance standards, and ensure that business activities align with the company's long-term goals. Working closely with the CEO and other senior leaders, the Vice President of Operations will play a critical role in translating corporate strategy into actionable operational plans, improving cross-departmental coordination, managing organizational resources, and building scalable operational systems to support continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Strategy and Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive operational strategies that support corporate objectives, improve organizational efficiency, and strengthen overall business performance. Executive Collaboration: Partner with the CEO and senior leadership team to establish strategic priorities, evaluate business opportunities, and implement initiatives that advance the company's long-term vision. Business Process Optimization: Assess existing workflows, identify operational inefficiencies, and implement scalable processes, policies, and systems to enhance productivity and service quality. Cross-Functional Management: Coordinate with finance, technology, compliance, client services, and other business functions to ensure alignment, accountability, and effective execution of organizational priorities. Performance Management: Establish operational KPIs, monitor business performance, analyze trends, and provide executive-level reporting and recommendations to support informed decision-making. Resource Allocation: Oversee the effective allocation of personnel, budgets, technology, and other operational resources in accordance with business priorities. Risk Management and Internal Controls: Strengthen operational controls, support risk identification and mitigation, and collaborate with relevant teams to maintain appropriate governance and compliance practices. Organizational Development: Support leadership development, workforce planning, talent management, and the establishment of a high-performance organizational culture. Technology and Innovation: Identify opportunities to leverage technology, automation, and data-driven processes to improve operational efficiency and support business scalability. Strategic Initiatives: Lead cross-functional projects, organizational improvement programs, and other executive-level initiatives from planning through implementation. Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication with internal stakeholders and provide senior leadership with timely updates on operational priorities, challenges, and results. Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, operational discipline, and continuous improvement throughout the organization. QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Management, Operations Management, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred. Significant experience in operations leadership, business management, strategic execution, or a related senior management function. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement operational strategies aligned with corporate objectives. Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams, coordinating multiple departments, and driving organizational change. Proven ability to evaluate business performance, establish KPIs, and use operational data to guide strategic decisions. Experience with budgeting, resource allocation, process improvement, and operational risk management. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present recommendations to executive leadership. Ability to manage complex initiatives, prioritize competing demands, and deliver measurable business outcomes. Proficiency in business management systems, operational reporting tools, and productivity technologies. Preferred SkillsExperience supporting business expansion, organizational transformation, or operational scaling. Familiarity with financial services operations, internal governance, and regulated business environments. Experience implementing process automation, performance measurement frameworks, or enterprise-wide operational improvements.
