Vice President of Products
Role Description The Vice President of Products is a full-time, remote role responsible for leading the bank’s product vision, strategy, and roadmap across its portfolio of financial services. This role oversees end-to-end product management, from market and customer research through concept development, launch, and post-launch optimization. The Vice President of Products collaborates closely with cross-functional teams in technology, operations, risk, compliance, marketing, and sales to ensure that products are competitive, compliant, and aligned with business objectives. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing market trends and performance data, prioritizing product initiatives, guiding product development cycles, and managing product lifecycle decisions. The role also involves mentoring product managers, establishing best practices, and presenting product plans and results to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Product Strategy and Product Management skills, with experience defining vision, roadmaps, and success metrics for financial or technology products. Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills, including the ability to interpret market research, financial data, and customer insights to inform product decisions. Candidates should possess Product Development skills, with a track record of leading products from concept to launch and managing iterative enhancements. Candidates should possess Cross-functional Team Leadership capabilities, with experience influencing and aligning diverse teams such as engineering, operations, compliance, marketing, and sales. Extensive experience (typically 10+ years) in product management or related roles, ideally within banking, financial services, or fintech. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote environment, with strong communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills. Background in strategic planning, portfolio management, and P&L ownership for product lines is highly beneficial.
