Role Description The Vice President of Strategic Projects is a full-time, remote role responsible for leading high-impact initiatives that support the company’s growth and operational excellence. This position oversees the planning, execution, and evaluation of strategic projects across gold dealing, diamond trading, and diamond cutting and polishing operations. Day-to-day responsibilities include defining project scope and objectives, coordinating cross-functional teams, managing timelines and budgets, and tracking key performance indicators. The role involves collaborating with senior leadership to identify new business opportunities, improve processes, mitigate risks, and ensure adherence to relevant industry regulations and standards. The Vice President of Strategic Projects will also prepare executive-level reports and presentations, support strategic decision-making, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
Qualifications
Strong strategic planning, project management, and organizational skills, with experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives. Proficiency in data analysis, financial modeling, and performance measurement to support evidence-based decision-making. Background in commodities, luxury goods, or related industries (such as precious metals or gemstones) is highly beneficial. Demonstrated ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and communicate clearly with executive leadership and cross-functional teams. Experience working in remote or distributed teams, with strong self-management and digital collaboration skills. Knowledge of risk management, compliance, and governance practices relevant to international trading and high-value goods. Advanced degree in Business, Finance, Management, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered. Proven track record of driving operational improvements, implementing change initiatives, and achieving measurable business results.
