Vice President of Operations Sierra Ridge Capital is seeking a highly strategic and results-driven Vice President of Operations to optimize our operational frameworks, scale our infrastructure, and drive institutional excellence. Job Details Job Type: Full-time Location: Remote (United States) Experience Level: Director / Executive Industry: Venture Capital / Private Equity / Financial Services Role Overview As the Vice President of Operations, you will be the engine behind Sierra Ridge Capital's day-to-day business mechanics. You will sit at the intersection of investment management, compliance, finance, and technology. Operating in a remote-first environment, you will be responsible for building scalable operational workflows, managing vendor ecosystems, and ensuring seamless cross-functional execution across our corporate entities and investment funds.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Strategy & Scaling: Design, evaluate, and scale comprehensive operational structures and workflows to support asset growth and firm expansion. Fund & Portfolio Operations: Streamline institutional fund administration, investor onboarding (KYC/AML tracking), capital calls, distributions, and portfolio monitoring processes. Technology & Systems Management: Evaluate, implement, and manage the firm’s digital tech stack (CRM, investor portals, portfolio management tools) to ensure automated and secure remote workflows. Vendor & Service Provider Management: Oversee relationships with critical third-party partners, including fund administrators, legal counsels, tax advisors, and auditors. Risk Management & Compliance: Partner with legal and compliance teams to monitor regulatory requirements, mitigate corporate risks, and maintain internal controls across a distributed workforce. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the central connective tissue between investment professionals, finance, legal, and investor relations to eliminate operational bottlenecks.
Qualifications
Industry Experience: 6+ years of operational experience within asset management, private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, or a high-growth FinTech environment. Leadership Track Record: Minimum 3 years in a leadership or managerial capacity (Director or VP level) with proven experience optimizing business infrastructure. Remote Ecosystem Expertise: Demonstrated ability to manage, collaborate, and maintain strong accountability across fully remote, distributed teams using modern asynchronous workflows. Financial & Technical Literacy: Deep understanding of fund structures, investment cycles, and advanced proficiency with modern investment operations technology. Problem-Solving & Agility: Strong entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to pivot quickly, design solutions from scratch, and balance multiple high-priority initiatives. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field required; CAIA, CFA, or MBA is a strong asset.
