Responsibilities

Account Management Specialist Ready to be the person who turns a claims problem into a client’s peace of mind? Why This Role Matters Behind every client relationship is a steady stream of claims questions, and how fast and how well we answer them decides whether a client stays or goes. As an Account Management Specialist, you’re the engine room of our Account Management team, digging into claims, tracking down answers, and making sure nothing slips through the cracks. Your research gives Account Managers the facts they need to resolve issues with confidence, and it gives brokers and clients proof that we deliver on our promises. Along the way, you’ll support new client onboarding and renewals, shaping the first and lasting impressions clients have of us. When you get it right, clients stay, members get the care and coverage they expect, and Personify Health grows. What You’ll Actually Do Research and resolve claims issues: Investigate claims questions from start to finish, tracing root causes through adjudication, EOBs, and appeals so clients get clear, accurate answers and fixes that stick. Partner with Account Managers on client service: Work side by side with Account Managers to uphold high service standards, taking on the day-to-day claims needs that keep client relationships strong. Respond to inquiries, escalations, and service tickets: Take ownership of incoming client questions and service issues, supporting Account Managers with timely responses that keep satisfaction high. Escalate and coordinate across departments: Work with Claims, Eligibility, IT, and Compliance to gather explanations, flag errors, and request adjustments, keeping service delivery smooth and issues from lingering. Track and review complex claim data: Monitor claims through resolution with precision, maintaining the tracking that gives the team visibility into open items and recurring trends. Pull reports on request: Request and prepare reports that equip Account Managers to answer broker and client questions quickly and with data to back it up. Maintain accurate client records: Keep client information current and complete so the whole team works from a single source of truth. Support onboarding and renewals: Help execute the onboarding process for new clients and assist Account Managers through each step of the renewal process to protect retention. Join and host client meetings: Participate in or lead client meetings as appropriate, bringing claims insight directly to the conversation. Build relationships with brokers, clients, and internal teams: Develop trusted working connections with the brokers and client teams you’re assigned, creating a network that makes problem-solving faster.

Qualifications

What You Bring to Our Team Education & Experience: 1–3 years of experience in claims processing, health benefits administration, or healthcare customer service Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience Familiarity with self-funded plan designs and TPA operations preferred Technical Skills: Working knowledge of medical claims workflows, including adjudication, EOBs, and appeals Proficiency in Excel Experience with claims systems (e.g., WLT, HealthEdge, Facets) Experience with CRM tools Analytical ability to review and track complex claim data
