The ideal candidate will bring extensive executive leadership experience, strong accounting expertise, and a proven ability to manage complex financial operations, improve reporting accuracy, and support long-term business growth.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement corporate accounting policies and financial reporting procedures. Oversee daily accounting operations, general ledger management, and financial statements. Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and applicable financial reporting requirements. Lead internal and external audits, regulatory reporting, and financial control initiatives. Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes. Establish effective internal controls and improve accounting procedures. Collaborate with executive leadership, finance, operations, and compliance teams. Identify financial reporting risks and implement appropriate corrective measures. Oversee accounting systems, financial automation, and process improvement initiatives. Support financial planning, budgeting, and long-term business strategies. Recruit, mentor, and lead accounting and financial reporting teams. Provide executive leadership with financial insights, performance reports, and strategic recommendations. Background and ExperienceAt least 15 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, corporate finance, or related fields. Previous senior leadership experience as a Chief Accounting Officer, Corporate Controller, Vice President of Accounting, or comparable executive. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting standards, auditing, and internal controls. Proven experience managing complex accounting operations and ensuring financial compliance. Experience overseeing financial audits, accounting systems, and regulatory reporting. Strong understanding of corporate governance, financial risk management, and accounting best practices. Excellent leadership, analytical, communication, and strategic decision-making skills. Ability to manage geographically distributed teams in a remote working environment. Experience within technology, financial services, or other growth-oriented organizations is preferred. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. CPA certification is strongly preferred; an MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
