Chief Education Officer

Role Description The Chief Education Officer is a full-time remote role responsible for setting and leading the organization’s overall education strategy and vision. This role oversees curriculum development, program design, and learning standards, ensuring all educational offerings are aligned with best practices, regulatory requirements, and the needs of learners and partners. Day-to-day responsibilities include guiding instructional design teams, reviewing research and performance data, collaborating with senior leadership on strategic initiatives, and establishing quality benchmarks for educational content and delivery. The Chief Education Officer will also build relationships with external stakeholders, mentor education and research staff, and communicate clearly and regularly about priorities, outcomes, and improvements across the organization.

Qualifications

Strong foundation in Education and Curriculum Development, with experience designing, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive learning programs. Robust Analytical Skills and Research capabilities to interpret data, assess program impact, and guide evidence-based decision-making. Excellent Communication skills, including the ability to present complex educational concepts to diverse audiences and collaborate effectively across teams. Proven leadership experience in an education-focused organization, such as K–12, higher education, online learning, or professional training. Advanced degree in Education, Instructional Design, Learning Sciences, or a related field (EdD or PhD preferred, master’s degree considered with significant experience). Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a remote, digitally connected environment and manage distributed teams. Experience with learning technologies, digital platforms, and contemporary pedagogical methodologies is highly beneficial.
