Chief Learning Officer

Role Description The Chief Learning Officer (CLO) is a full-time remote role responsible for shaping and executing the organization’s overall learning and development strategy. This role leads the design, implementation, and evaluation of training programs and curricula that support business objectives and build skills across all levels of the organization. Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing instructional design efforts, aligning leadership development programs with talent strategies, collaborating with senior stakeholders to identify learning needs, and monitoring the effectiveness and impact of learning initiatives. The CLO will manage learning platforms and tools, guide internal learning teams or external partners, and ensure that learning content is inclusive, accessible, and scalable.

Qualifications

Strong background in Training & Development and Training, with experience leading enterprise-wide learning initiatives. Proficiency in Instructional Design and Curriculum Development, including designing engaging, outcomes-focused learning programs. Demonstrated expertise in Leadership Development, particularly in building programs that support leaders at multiple levels. Experience in learning strategy, organizational development, and change management, with the ability to align learning with business goals. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence at executive levels. Proven experience managing remote teams or distributed workforces and leveraging digital learning platforms. Advanced degree in Education, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Background in data-driven decision-making, including evaluating learning effectiveness and using metrics to improve programs.
