Commercial Analyst
Why This Job Exists Before a company commits to the U.S. market, it needs a price it can defend and a channel that still leaves it a margin. Dune's Commercial Analyst builds those numbers: distributor margins, freight, duties, rebates and the cost of serving each type of account. You work full-time and remotely from wherever you live in the country.
Key Responsibilities
Build price and margin models for products entering U.S. distribution and retail channels. Collect competitor prices, distributor terms and freight quotes. Compare the cost of serving accounts through direct sales, distributors and online marketplaces. Reconcile client sales and cost data with their financial statements before the analysis starts. Write short notes on the main assumptions behind each model. Prepare the charts and tables for client reports. Requirements: A bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business or a related field. Excel models with lookups, pivot tables and scenario inputs. One year in pricing, financial or commercial analysis, internships count. Also Useful: Power BI or Tableau Experience with distribution, wholesale or retail pricing SQL What we offer: permanent full-time job, fully remote within the United States; health plans (medical, dental, vision) starting in month one; retirement savings in a 401(k), matched by Dune; paid time off and sick leave, plus the federal holidays; yearly training budget; and a laptop and a stipend to set up your home office.
