As a Customer Support Specialist at brighthush, you will be the connective tissue between our customers, internal sales teams, and the broader supply chain. Your ability to keep projects moving, solve problems quickly, and nurture relationships will directly influence the success of high‑value flooring projects across the Western United States. This is a remote‑first position, allowing you to work from anywhere in the region while aligning with Pacific Standard Time (8 am – 5 pm PST).
Role Overview
The Customer Support Specialist (CSS) is a hybrid role that blends order management, project coordination, technical consultation, and cross‑functional collaboration. You will partner closely with Account Executives (AEs) to ensure seamless order entry, accurate delivery, and proactive issue resolution. Your work will span the entire sales lifecycle—from initial lead capture in the CRM system to final purchase order (PO) receipt and freight coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Order Management & CRM Mastery: Enter and track orders in the CRM, overseeing each sales phase from new lead to PO acquisition. Ensure data integrity and timely updates for all stakeholders.
- Customer Outreach & Relationship Building: Proactively contact flooring contractors, general contractors, architects, designers, and end‑users (including hospitals, higher education, and K‑12 facilities) to understand needs, answer questions, and provide product guidance.
- Technical Consultation: Review take‑offs, drawings, and blueprints to recommend appropriate brighthush products for specific technical spaces. Offer expertise on product specifications, installation processes, and performance attributes.
- Inventory Coordination: Monitor customer inventory levels, ensuring that brighthush products align with demanding installation schedules. When stock is limited, suggest alternate colors, arrange sample shipments, and facilitate rapid decision‑making.
- Mock‑up & Sample Management: Collaborate with the technical team to create, ship, and track mock‑ups and sales trials, guaranteeing that customers receive accurate representations of the final product.
- Weekly AE Sync: Conduct structured 30‑60‑90 day review calls with the Account Executive, assessing sales phase accuracy, identifying next steps, and generating actionable activity plans.
- PO Follow‑Up & Sales Forecasting: Pursue awarded contractors for timely PO submission, contributing directly to monthly sales targets.
- Freight & Logistics Coordination: Prepare freight quote request sheets, liaise with the warehouse, and negotiate carrier options for expedited orders. Work with purchasing to navigate customs processes for international shipments.
- Continuous Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks, propose workflow enhancements, and share best practices across the support team to elevate overall service quality.
