Onward FX is a founder-funder exchange operated by Startup NWA and presented by the Northwest Arkansas Council and the Arkansas Economic Development Commission. Twice a year, the program scouts close to 1,000 startups, vets them against each participating investor’s mandate, and convenes matched founders and funders for a focused two-day event. Investors receive access to a detailed database and memos on aligned startups weeks before the event, then participate in curated 1:1 meetings, GP/LP mixers, and salon dinners with corporate decision-makers. Launched in 2024, Onward FX has helped 1 in 4 invited founders secure term sheets within weeks, supported participating companies in raising over $25M, and contributed to a tripling of venture deals in Arkansas.
