Role Description The Director of Portfolio Management is a full-time, remote role responsible for overseeing the company’s real estate portfolio and optimizing asset performance. This position leads portfolio strategy, including asset acquisition, divestiture, and repositioning decisions, and ensures alignment with the organization’s financial and business objectives. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing portfolio performance, managing risks, setting strategic priorities, and collaborating with finance, operations, and program management teams to execute portfolio-level initiatives. The director will establish governance frameworks for project and program selection, monitor progress against key metrics, and prepare regular reports and presentations for senior leadership and stakeholders. This role also involves guiding cross-functional teams, refining portfolio management processes, and identifying opportunities for value creation and cost efficiencies.
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial and operational data and make evidence-based portfolio decisions. Proficiency in Portfolio Management and Project Portfolio Management, including prioritization, resource allocation, and performance tracking. Experience in Program Management, overseeing multiple projects or initiatives within a strategic portfolio context. Solid understanding of Finance, including budgeting, forecasting, investment analysis, and return-on-investment evaluation. Prior leadership experience in real estate, asset management, or a related field, with accountability for portfolio outcomes. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to executive audiences. Demonstrated capability to work effectively in a remote environment, managing distributed teams and collaborating across time zones. Relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, finance, real estate, economics, or a related discipline.
