Head International Expansion

Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Head of International Expansion. The role is responsible for defining and executing the global expansion strategy, including market selection, entry models, and growth plans across priority regions. Day-to-day tasks include conducting market and competitor analysis, assessing regulatory and compliance requirements, and building financial and operational business cases for new markets. The Head of International Expansion will collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Product, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Operations to localize offerings, establish partnerships, and ensure scalable processes. The role also involves negotiating with external stakeholders, monitoring performance against international growth targets, and continuously optimizing go-to-market approaches. This position requires hands-on leadership, strong stakeholder management, and the ability to work effectively across time zones and cultures.

Qualifications

Experience leading international expansion, market entry, or global strategy, including developing and executing multi-country rollout plans. Strong analytical and financial skills, with the ability to conduct market research, build business cases, and interpret data to inform decisions. Proven stakeholder management and leadership capabilities, including managing cross-functional teams and influencing without direct authority. Solid understanding of international operations, including regulatory, legal, tax, and compliance considerations in global markets. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships with partners, regulators, and internal teams. Demonstrated ability to work in a remote, distributed environment and manage projects across multiple time zones. Relevant experience in scaling organizations internationally; prior experience in technology, SaaS, or high-growth environments is beneficial. Cultural awareness and adaptability, with proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
