The practice handles a varied portfolio of civil defense matters, representing insurers, businesses and other clients in complex litigation.
Key Responsibilities
Manage insurance defense cases from initial investigation through resolution. Handle general liability, personal injury, premises liability and other civil defense matters. Draft pleadings, substantive motions, discovery responses and legal memoranda. Conduct discovery and take or defend depositions. Attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations and trial proceedings. Develop litigation strategies and provide practical advice to clients. Collaborate with experienced litigators on significant matters. Maintain accurate billable records and manage case deadlines.
What We're Looking For
Active California Bar admission. Insurance defense or related civil litigation experience. Strong legal research, drafting and analytical capabilities. Familiarity with California litigation procedures. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage responsibilities appropriate to your experience. An interest in professional development and challenging litigation work. Compensation & Benefits Salary: Up to $300,000, depending on experience. Exposure to a diverse range of defense litigation matters. Opportunities for substantive case responsibility and professional development.
