About brighthush
brighthush is the award‑winning platform that powers the seamless coordination, communication, and verification of property‑care tasks across the hospitality ecosystem. With more than 55 million tasks completed each year, brighthush enables short‑term rental managers, vacation‑rental owners, and hospitality operators to automate manual workflows, boost service revenue, and deliver unforgettable guest experiences. Why This Role Matters
At brighthush, marketing isn’t a support function—it’s the engine that drives growth, adoption, and long‑term loyalty. The Lifecycle & Customer Marketing Manager will own the full spectrum of the customer journey, from the first click to the moment a user becomes a vocal advocate. This is a high‑visibility, high‑ownership position that sits at the nexus of Demand Generation, Product Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success. If you thrive in a fast‑moving, remote‑first environment where data‑driven decisions meet creative storytelling, this is the role where you can make an immediate impact.
Key Responsibilities
Pre‑Sale Journey Architecture
- Map, design, and continuously optimize the end‑to‑end path that transforms a new lead into a Marketing Qualified Lead (MQL), Sales Qualified Lead (SQL), and ultimately a revenue‑generating opportunity.
- Develop and refine lead‑scoring models, lifecycle stages, and handoff rules in partnership with the Demand Generation team.
- Implement automated nurture streams that react to real‑time engagement signals, ensuring each prospect receives the right message at the right time.
- Re‑activate closed‑lost and stalled opportunities by designing “re‑engagement” campaigns that feed qualified leads back into the pipeline.
Post‑Sale Customer Marketing Programs
- Design, write, and launch onboarding, adoption, expansion, and renewal programs using HubSpot email, Appcues in‑app messaging, and other automation tools.
- Collaborate with the Senior Customer Operations Lead to align audience segmentation, trigger conditions, and timing for each post‑sale journey.
- Partner with Product Marketing to create feature‑release communications that drive adoption and uncover upsell opportunities.
- Own advocacy initiatives—including customer reviews, case studies, newsletters, and product update communications—that turn satisfied users into brand ambassadors.
Testing, Measurement, and Optimization
- Run rigorous A/B and multivariate tests on subject lines, copy, creative assets, and channel mix.
- Co‑design journey‑logic experiments with Customer Operations to validate hypotheses and improve conversion rates.
- Maintain a single source of truth for pre‑sale funnel metrics and post‑sale program‑influenced pipeline, delivering regular performance reports to the VP of Marketing.
- Leverage AI‑driven insights to automate personalization at scale, while ensuring compliance with CAN‑SPAM, GDPR, and CASL regulations.
Data Hygiene & Deliverability
- Oversee email health by managing deliverability, list hygiene, preference centers, and opt‑out processes.
- Implement robust CRM data governance practices to keep segmentation accurate and actionable.
Essential Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in lifecycle, email, CRM, or customer marketing, with at least 3 years in a SaaS environment.
- Proven Impact: Demonstrated success building lifecycle programs that moved a revenue metric (pipeline, conversion, activation, retention, or expansion). Be ready to cite specific numbers.
- Technical Mastery: Hands‑on expertise with a marketing automation platform (HubSpot, Marketo, Braze, Customer.io, or equivalent). You build journeys directly, not via ticket queues.
- Segmentation & Scoring: Deep knowledge of audience segmentation, lead scoring, lifecycle stage definition, and CRM data hygiene.
- Product‑Data Integration: Experience using product usage data to trigger and personalize campaigns.
- Analytical Rigor: Ability to construct reports, analyze cohorts, and articulate why metrics changed.
- Copywriting Excellence: Sharp, concise writing that converts prospects and engages existing customers.
- Cross‑Functional Influence: Proven credibility with Sales, Customer Success, and Product teams; skilled at aligning handoffs and holding stakeholders accountable.
- Growth‑Stage Agility: Comfort navigating ambiguity and rapid iteration in a fast‑growing company.
- AI Adoption: Early adopter of AI tools with a passion for scaling personalization, content creation, and testing.
- In‑App Messaging: Familiarity with tools such as Appcues, Pendo, or Intercom for product‑led growth initiatives.
Preferred (Bonus) Qualifications
- Background in SaaS solutions serving short‑term rental, property‑management, or vacation‑rental operators.
- Experience marketing to SMBs and independent operators, not solely enterprise accounts.
- Knowledge of account‑based or signal‑based programs that blend marketing and sales outreach.
- Track record running customer advocacy, referral, or review programs.
- Working knowledge of SQL or BI tools (Metabase, Looker, Tableau) for deeper data analysis.
Core Skills & Competencies
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to see the big picture while executing granular tactics.
- Data‑Driven Decision Making: Comfort with dashboards, cohort analysis, and predictive modeling.
- Creative Storytelling: Craft compelling narratives that resonate across the buyer’s journey.
- Project Management: Manage multiple programs simultaneously, meet deadlines, and prioritize ruthlessly.
- Collaboration: Thrive in a remote‑first, cross‑functional team environment.
- Technical Curiosity: Stay ahead of emerging AI, automation, and martech trends.
