Partner Manager
Who We Are
Ingage helps our clients win. A win is a better number on the client scoreboard: fewer cancelled appointments, higher close rates, faster rep ramp, bigger tickets, more referrals. We do not define that scoreboard. We help them put points on it.
We got there by naming a problem the trades had lived with for decades. Most companies do not have a talent problem, they have a readiness problem. Standards get set every time a salesperson sits down across from a homeowner, not in Monday meetings. The standard is not what you expect, it is what you accept.
Our platform is that system in three parts. Teach is the system of record for how a company sells, Practice builds muscle memory, Pitch is the live execution layer at the kitchen table.
We are 40 people headquartered in Yardley, Pennsylvania, serving home improvement companies focused on replacement projects like roofing, siding, windows, doors, gutters, coatings and one-day baths. We are looking to expand into all trades that service the home.
The Opportunity
This seat helps our clients win by making sure the people a contractor already trusts point them toward readiness. Their sales coach. Their CRM. Their lead provider. Their measurement tool. A contractor takes a recommendation from those people in a way they will never take a cold call.
You own the partnership ecosystem: the coaches and trainers who hold the stage, the technology partners our customers already run their business on, the design and referral partners inside accounts every day, and the ones we have not signed yet. You make it work in both directions, leads coming to us and business going back to them, until it is a system rather than a set of relationships somebody remembers to maintain.
Part of this happens in person. Our partners run their own shows and events, and those rooms are full of contractors who should already know us. You will be in the ones that matter.
The Challenge We're Solving
Ingage is one of the most trusted names in this industry. There is likely not a company in the Qualified Remodeler Top 500 that does not know who we are, and about a quarter of them already use us. The other three quarters should.
Partnerships is how we reach them. Referrals are our strongest lead source and it closes at a higher rate than anything else we do, because the introduction arrives from someone the contractor already trusts. The single greatest opportunity for growth in this company runs through the Channel sales partner network.
Twenty two of those partnerships do not have a directly responsible individual today. That is the gap. And it only gets wider, because as we grow, twenty two becomes forty, and forty becomes a team.
This role exists to take the most productive lead source we have and build it into a system that scales past the person running it.
Success Outcomes
1. First 90 days: every partner has a name and a number.
A partner should never wonder who to call. Within ninety days you are the person every one of them knows, works with, and goes to when they want something. You are also the person who brings the partner number to the weekly review, can speak to every deal in it, and knows which partner produced it and what they need from us next. Scoreboard: Partner sourced pipeline and new business reported weekly as a percentage of the company total.
2. First 90 days: partner referrals carry their share of the quarter.
Channel carries responsibility for 20% of the company's created pipeline and new business every quarter, and partner referral is the piece this role owns outright. What counts is a real opportunity - a contractor with five or more sales reps. You will own 30% of the quarterly number inside the first 90 days. You get there with the partners already in the book on your first day, and you get there steadily, not with a scramble in the last two weeks of the quarter. Scoreboard: Partner sourced created pipeline holds at 20% of the company total through the quarter.
3. First 6 months: the network is producing revenue against a number you set and coach to.
These partners are primed right now. Everything the company has built here is in place, the relationships exist, and there is no ramp up period. What has been missing is one person whose whole job is working them, grooming them and asking for the business. In six months there is a partnership go to market plan in place, case studies that show it working, a monthly partner sourced number that is climbing, and a target on every partner that you coach to. Partners bring us the client. We close them, we onboard them, we keep them. Scoreboard: By month six, partner sourced revenue is 25% of total new business, up from roughly 20% today.
4. First 6 months: partners are using Ingage in their own business, not just recommending it.
We cover the whole appointment. The pre-appointment reminder. The in-home presentation. AI recording and coaching. Training and readiness. The closing and price presentation. What happens after the appointment, including dispositioning. And what happens after the sale. Most partners know us for one of those and have no idea about the rest.
Every partner who presents to a customer is presenting with something. A lead provider pitching a home improvement company on their leads is doing that pitch in a deck or a PDF, and they should be doing it in Ingage. When they do, they look sharper, they win more of their own business, and every room they present in learns who we are without anyone selling for us. In six months every partner can name the parts of Ingage, each one is using or selling the parts that fit what they actually do, and that adoption shows up in the revenue they send us. Scoreboard: By month six, half of the partners who present to customers are doing it in Ingage.
5. First 12 months: integrations closed, activations running, and a bigger network.
We do not integrate with every partner we work with. The Ingage Vivid Vision says that by the end of 2028 deep integrations with CRMs, lead sources, financing tools and measurement systems make Ingage the readiness layer rather than another disconnected tool. That work starts in this role. Every CRM in this industry and every estimating tool should either connect to us or be in a conversation about it, and estimating matters most because of where disposition is heading. You own knowing which partners are fully integrated and which are not, and building the process, the playbook and the activation plan that closes the gap.
There is also real white space. Whole categories of partner nobody has gone after yet. A year in the network is bigger than you found it, the partners we added came through a path rather than you walking each one through personally, and the six month numbers are higher than they were at six months. Scoreboard: A year in, partner sourced revenue is 30 percent of total new business.
What You'll Work With
You report to the VP of Channel Sales. Manufacturer, enterprise and dealer network accounts are managed by the Strategic Account Managers. That is a different motion on different economics than what you will own. They own dealer network adoption, measured by Network Adoption Rate. You own the partner network.
The line with sales: sales owns the deal once it is in the pipeline. You own whether it arrives, whether we know who it came from, and whether that partner sends another one. A referred deal lost on execution is sales's miss. A partner who quietly stops referring because we fumbled the last three is this seat's miss.
The line with product: product decides what gets built and when. You own whether the partner stays at the table long enough for it to ship, and whether that conversation is happening at all.
You have Notion as the partner record and HubSpot for pipeline. What you do not have is a partner relationship management system or a dedicated channel marketing budget. Marketing owes you enablement as a capability, assets and plays a partner can run, which means your asks have to be specific and scheduled rather than assumed.
Fully remote. Real travel, because our partners run events through the year and the relationship is built in those rooms. Quarterly planning in Yardley.
Why This Is Different
The Ingage Vivid Vision says that by the end of 2028 deep integrations with CRMs, lead sources, financing tools and measurement systems make Ingage the readiness layer rather than another disconnected tool. That sentence is this job. Product led growth needs distribution that does not require a salesperson, and this ecosystem is the only distribution we have that qualifies.
Most partnership roles hand you a working program and ask you to scale it. This one hands you the most productive lead source in the company, the most trusted name in the industry to open doors with, and the room to define what a partnership program in the trades should look like. Nobody in this industry has built one worth copying yet.
What We're Honest About
Twenty two partnerships have had no directly responsible individual since August. Some are warmer than others right now, and the first pass is deciding where the attention goes.
There is no ramp up period. These partners are primed and ready to produce right now, which means the clock starts on day one. You build the system while you are already carrying the number.
Referral partners hold influence, not authority. They can make an introduction and hold a stage. They cannot make anyone buy, and they will not be managed. Everything here is earned twice.
The event calendar is not yours to set. Partners schedule their own shows and you work around them, which means some months are heavy travel and the quarter does not spread itself evenly.
Published benchmarks put a partner manager at five to seven high touch relationships. You start with twenty two, and that number grows as we grow. Deciding where the depth goes, and saying it out loud, is part of the first year.
Our Culture
Ingage runs on high accountability and grace. Our CEO calls it 10-80-10: 10% direction from the top, 80% ownership from the team, 10% partnership at the end. We are direct. We do not do corporate speak. We move fast because our customers do. We use AI aggressively, and we expect our team members to do the same.
Be the Example. You ask partners to learn our product well enough to recommend it, so you know theirs cold, including how they make money. A partner should never understand our business better than you understand theirs.
Default to Action. A partner who goes quiet gets a call in month two, not month five. Every partner conversation ends with an owner and a date on their side, not only on ours.
Simple Scales. One referral motion, one onboarding path, one number. If a partner needs a call from you to do their part, it is not finished yet.
