Part‑Time Remote Hospital Pharmacist – 7‑on‑7‑off Schedule, Texas‑Licensed, Clinical Order Entry & Medication Management
About brighthush – Pioneering Remote Pharmacy Excellence
At brighthush, we have spent more than four decades shaping the future of pharmacy practice across hospitals and outpatient settings. Our mission is to empower pharmacists to deliver the highest‑quality clinical care while leveraging technology, data‑driven insights, and innovative workflow models. As one of the nation’s largest employers of acute‑care pharmacists, brighthush offers a dynamic platform where clinical expertise meets flexible, remote work environments. Whether you are a seasoned hospital pharmacist or an emerging clinical leader, you will find a supportive community, cutting‑edge tools, and a clear path for professional growth.
Why This Role Is Different – The Remote Order Entry Advantage
Traditional hospital pharmacy often ties clinicians to a physical location, limiting flexibility and sometimes diluting focus on direct patient care. In our Remote Order Entry model, you will apply your clinical judgment—monitoring, dosing, and reviewing medication therapy—while the dispensing function remains with the partner hospital. This hybrid approach creates a win‑win: hospitals benefit from expert clinical oversight, and pharmacists enjoy a predictable schedule, a collaborative virtual team, and the freedom to work from home.
Position Overview
We are seeking an energetic, clinically‑oriented pharmacist to join our Satellite Team. This part‑time, work‑from‑home position follows a 7‑on/7‑off rotation (Thursday to Wednesday) with evening hours, allowing you to balance professional responsibilities with personal priorities. The role is Texas‑licensed, but you will have the opportunity to obtain reciprocity in additional states as your career evolves.
Key Responsibilities
- Remote Order Entry & CPOE Verification: Accurately enter and verify computerized physician order entry (CPOE) medication orders for acute‑care hospitals.
- Clinical Medication Dosing Services: Apply evidence‑based dosing guidelines, adjust therapy based on renal/hepatic function, and ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes.
- Profile Review & Lab Monitoring: Continuously assess patient medication profiles, interpret laboratory values, and intervene when therapeutic goals are not met.
- Physician & Nursing Consultations: Serve as a trusted clinical resource, providing real‑time recommendations and answering medication‑related questions.
- Regulatory Compliance: Coordinate medication access in line with facility policies, state statutes, and federal regulations; maintain up‑to‑date licensure for all pharmacy staff.
- Staff Pharmacist Coverage: Step in as a staff pharmacist when needed, supporting on‑site teams during peak periods or special projects.
- Quality Assurance & Documentation: Document clinical interventions, contribute to performance metrics, and participate in continuous‑quality improvement initiatives.
- Technology Utilization: Master multiple pharmacy information systems, electronic health records, and decision‑support tools to streamline workflow.
Essential Qualifications
- Active Texas pharmacist license in good standing (mandatory).
- 2–4 years of clinical inpatient hospital experience, preferably in an acute‑care setting.
- Demonstrated ability to obtain licensure reciprocity in additional states as required.
- Proficiency with pharmacy information systems, electronic health records, and CPOE platforms.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret lab data and adjust therapy accordingly.

- Experience with telepharmacy or remote clinical services.
- Familiarity with medication therapy management (MTM) programs.
