Project Manager
C-Shift Consulting partners with leading organizations across higher education, mining, technology, and enterprise environments to support complex transformation initiatives. We work closely with clients on complex, high-stakes work, and we're known for reliable delivery, clear communication, and consultants who are ready to talk with executives from day one. We're building a bench of experienced Project Managers for two upcoming client engagements. Both need someone who can bring structure to complex, multi-party work, keep the right people involved at the right time, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks. Engagement 1: Capital Project Integration Planning (Northern Colorado) A building materials manufacturer is expanding a terminal in Northern Colorado, working with an outside engineering firm and several discipline contractors. You'll act as the owner-side PMO lead, bringing the engineering and construction plans together with the client's internal processes into one integrated project plan. You'll help confirm scope, map and engage internal stakeholders for input and decisions, and partner with the engineering firm's project manager on follow-through. Pre-construction coordination starts right away, and the build phase is expected to run 6โ8 months. Engagement 2: Merger Integration Program (Remote, Global) A global mining company is integrating its Projects function as part of a merger and designing a new operating model across multiple workstreams, including governance, delegation of authority, stage gates, project systems, and reporting. You'll be the day-to-day operational lead, turning the Programme Manager's direction into detailed plans and schedules, running working sessions, and tracking deliverables, risks, and issues. This role is remote but requires flexibility to overlap with UK, South Africa, and Pacific time zones. What you'll do Build and maintain integrated project plans and schedules across multiple teams, partners, or workstreams Plan and facilitate working sessions and coordination meetings, including agendas, notes, and follow-ups Identify stakeholders and engage them at the right points for information gathering and decision-making Track deliverables, milestones, risks, issues, and dependencies, and escalate when needed Provide clear, regular status reporting to client leaders and program sponsors Partner closely with program leads, analysts, technical partners, and change and communications teams What you bring 5+ years of project or program management experience, including leading multi-stakeholder initiatives Strong command of integrated planning, scheduling, and governance (MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar) Experience with RAID management and structured project management frameworks Experience in capital projects, construction, or industrial facilities, or in merger integration or operating model design Confidence with senior stakeholders and the judgment to know when to escalate Proactive, organized, and comfortable building structure in ambiguous, fast-moving environments Engagement details 1099 Consultant Roles Full-time and part-time engagements available Competitive contract rates based on experience At C-Shift, you'll be part of a collaborative, people-first consulting community that values trusted partnership and practical, fit-for-purpose solutions. If you're a PM who likes making complex work run smoothly, we'd love to hear from you.
