QA Engineer — Trading Systems (Part-Time Contract, Remote, US Market Hours)
Who succeeds in this role? Someone who instinctively asks: Can I force a trade outside the platform’s rules? Can I bypass position, risk, or loss limits? Can a replay, retry, or partial fill create unintended behavior? Can one user access another user’s data? Does every trade leave a complete audit trail? That’s the mindset we’re hiring for. The platform IntelliTrade is a trading platform for SPX 0DTE options: real-time gamma-exposure analytics, multi-leg spreads and iron condors selected by market regime, and broker-integrated execution. The role is less about cosmetic UI bugs and more about validating trading workflows, business rules, APIs, execution paths, security edge cases — and whether a real trader can use it without being misled. What we’re looking for Strong functional and exploratory testing; black-box testing of complex web applications API testing and automation (Postman, pytest, Newman, or similar); experience building and maintaining end-to-end automated tests Ability to investigate issues through logs, audit trails, and databases Security-minded: API abuse testing, authentication/authorization testing, OWASP-style assessments, DAST, or light penetration testing Experience with trading, brokerage, options, fintech, or capital-markets platforms strongly preferred Nice to have Playwright for UI automation · Burp Suite or OWASP ZAP · performance/load testing (k6 preferred) Working knowledge of options concepts: spreads, iron condors, risk controls, order lifecycle Engagement Part-time contract to start, with the intent to extend. Fully remote. Must be available during US market hours. US-based preferred; applicants outside the US considered only with demonstrable US options-market experience.
