[Remote] Accounting Manager

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Martin Brower is hiring an Accounting Manager to lead accounting team development, change management, and financial processes. The role oversees monthly close and financial reporting, leads business initiatives and system governance, and supports the design of an effective Finance organization.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction, team development, and process leadership for a large complex growing business while assisting the Assistant Corporate Controller in designing an effective and efficient Finance organization
• Lead change management process for accounting team and be a key developer of talent for the organization
• Manage the monthly close process, including preparation of financial statements, reconciliation of GL accounts, etc
• Lead business initiatives and strategies, including system rollouts, integration of new acquisitions, process improvements and the external audit process
• Manage the governance over key systems in VIP, including fixed assets, treasury, leases, and other general ledger systems
• Develop financial reporting tools in Power Bi or other data reporting tools
• Travel up to 25% required
• Other duties as assigned

Skills

• Bachelor's Degree with 6 to 8 years of related experience and 3 plus years of leadership experience or High School Diploma with 9 plus years of specific experience and 5 plus years of leadership experience
• Master's Degree or CPA
