About the position As a Biology Specialist, you will help fine-tune large language models using your biology expertise. You will design problems, evaluate how well AI systems solve them, and collaborate with researchers to develop better benchmarks. Work is fully remote with flexible weekly hours, and no prior AI experience is required. The role is offered on a contract basis with defined start and end dates, and assignments may involve up to 40 hours per week. Pay is \$100 or more per hour, depending on the role and candidate expertise. Shortlisted candidates must complete an evaluation before selection.
Responsibilities
- Design advanced biology questions to test AI performance.
- Develop clear, step-by-step solutions with rigorous logic.
- Evaluate AI outputs for accuracy and quality of reasoning.
- Collaborate with researchers to refine benchmarks across undergraduate- to PhD-level biology topics.
Requirements
- PhD, either in progress or completed, in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- Strong biology reasoning and problem-solving skills across advanced domains.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly in writing and provide structured feedback.
