[Remote] Business Data Analyst - Remote

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Harbor Freight Tools is seeking a Business Data Analyst to partner with business stakeholders and subject matter experts on reporting and analytical needs. The role analyzes operational, sales, marketing, supply chain, and inventory data; gathers and translates business requirements; and supports technical teams in developing effective reporting and analytical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Ask critical business questions by applying analytical methodologies in pursuit of solutions using data driven (fact based) decision making
• Monitor and analyze operational data to identify trends, issues and opportunities, and provide feedback to key departments in service of analytical based recommendations
• Leverage retail, online, and catalog sales data to provide insight into our transaction patterns, product trends, marketing performance, supply chain, and inventory
• Partnering with key business users and departments to understand business needs, and gather requirements while also balancing technical feasibility
• Provide Data analysis and reporting related to increasing optimization and performance improvement
• Ability to gather, document and translate business requirements into technical specifications that can be understood by in-house Development and Reporting teams
• Participate in workflow analysis in support of requirements identification
• Work with analytics reporting technology, such as data-cubes and other data mining techniques
