[Remote] Business Development (BDM) Intern - Summer 2027

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Tektronix, an operating company of Ralliant, is hiring a Business Development Intern to support its Global Business Development Management team. The intern will contribute to business challenges and projects involving customer segmentation, customer engagement, and emerging technology markets, and present recommendations and project outcomes to stakeholders and executives.

Responsibilities

• As a Business Development (BDM) Intern, you'll work alongside the Tektronix Global Business Development Management team to solve real business challenges that help shape the future of a global technology company
• Paired with a dedicated mentor, you'll gain hands-on experience in customer segmentation, customer engagement, and the measurement solutions that help innovative companies bring new technologies to life
• Throughout the summer, you'll gain exposure to fast-growing markets and emerging trends, including data centers, energy storage, and power electronics
• You'll also build an understanding of how Commercial Sales, Manufacturing, Product Development, and Service work together to bring technology from concept to customer
• You'll contribute to high-impact projects, engage with senior leaders, and see firsthand how business development helps drive business strategy and growth
• By the end of the summer, you'll have built a portfolio of meaningful accomplishments and have the opportunity to present your recommendations and project outcomes to key stakeholders and executives across the company

Skills

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
• Motivated, driven and business-minded, with a strong desire to learn, grow, and make an impact
• Comfortable seeking clarification, asking thoughtful questions, and engaging with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
• Team-oriented with a collaborative approach to problem-solving
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience structuring ambiguous business challenges and developing data-driven recommendations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, AI tools, etc
• Experience translating data and insights into clear recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences
• Intellectually curious and energized by solving complex business challenges
• Comfortable challenging assumptions and bringing fresh perspectives that drive better outcomes
• Demonstrated leadership through internships, work experience, student organizations, athletics, research, or other extracurricular activities
• Excited by the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while building a foundation for a career in technical sales, business development, or product marketing
• Interest in learning about the commercial side of the business and how companies position and sell their solutions
