Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Fundshop is seeking a Business Development Manager to build an independent sales pipeline and develop repeat referral relationships. The role involves prospecting, working with business owners to guide them through financing applications and reviews, and coordinating with internal teams and funding partners to advance opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Prospect for new business on your own by phone, email and LinkedIn
- Build and grow referral relationships with commercial and business bankers, equipment finance professionals, brokers, CPAs and consultants
- Work directly with business owners to understand their goals, needs and timing, and guide them through our application and review process
- Work with our internal team and funding partners to move opportunities forward
- Keep referral partners updated on the clients they send and earn repeat referrals
- Log every opportunity, note and follow-up in our CRM and keep your pipeline current
- Share what you're hearing from partners and clients with leadership
Skills
- Experience in business development, B2B sales or referral-partner development
- Experience working directly with business owners
- A track record of building professional relationships that produce business
- Comfortable prospecting on your own and managing your own schedule while working remotely
- Consistent CRM habits and follow-through
- Comfortable in a performance-driven sales environment with clear goals
- Strong phone and written communication
- Existing relationships in commercial banking, business lending, equipment finance or a related industry (strongly preferred)
- Familiarity with small business financing (SBA, term loans, lines of credit, equipment financing, revenue-based financing) is a plus
