[Remote] CFO Advisory, Accounting Advisory Manager

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Cherry Bekaert Advisory LLC is hiring an Accounting Advisory Manager for its national CFO Advisory practice. The role leads client engagements and advises finance teams on technical accounting, financial reporting, SEC reporting, financial transformation, and transaction-related initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple client engagements, serving as a key point of contact and trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle
• Support and optimize financial close processes, helping clients improve efficiency, accuracy, and reporting timelines
• Assist clients with accounting transformation initiatives, including cash-to-accrual conversions, opening balance sheet preparation, and purchase accounting
• Guide organizations through audit readiness efforts and support interactions with external auditors
• Lead technical accounting projects involving complex accounting matters, including ASC 480, ASC 606, ASC 718, ASC 805, ASC 815, and ASC 842
• Advise clients on IPO, SPAC, and SEC reporting matters, including disclosure and compliance requirements
• Prepare and review financial statements, footnote disclosures, accounting memos, reconciliations, audit support schedules, and SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q and 10-K
• Mentor and develop team members while contributing to a collaborative, high-performing culture
• Partner with senior leadership to identify opportunities to enhance client service and expand engagement scope

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 5 or more years of experience within public accounting, advisory, or industry accounting environments
• Experience supporting SEC registrants, public companies, and/or private equity-backed organizations
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and a demonstrated interest in researching and resolving complex accounting issues
• Experience with month-end close, financial reporting, or SEC reporting processes
• Proven project management skills, including the ability to prioritize competing demands and lead engagements from planning through completion
• Ability to manage multiple client relationships and work effectively in both independent and team environments
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with finance leaders, executives, clients, and internal stakeholders
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking capabilities with exceptional attention to detail
• Candidates must demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States

• Active CPA license highly preferred
