[Remote] Chief Financial Officer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Startup Lab is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead corporate financial strategy, planning, accounting oversight, and risk management. The role oversees financial operations and supports long-term growth, fundraising, and strategic business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies aligned with company objectives
• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance management
• Lead corporate financial operations, accounting oversight, and financial reporting
• Manage cash flow, liquidity, capital allocation, and long-term financial planning
• Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal controls
• Evaluate financial risks and implement effective risk management strategies
• Collaborate with executive leadership, operations, business development, and other departments
• Support fundraising activities, investment evaluations, and strategic financial partnerships
• Oversee financial audits, tax planning coordination, and corporate financial governance
• Establish financial performance indicators and improve operational efficiency
• Recruit, mentor, and lead high-performing finance and accounting teams
• Provide executive leadership and the board of directors with financial reports, forecasts, and strategic recommendations

Skills

• At least 15 years of experience in corporate finance, financial management, accounting, or related fields
• Previous senior leadership experience as a Chief Financial Officer, Vice President of Finance, Finance Director, or comparable executive
• Proven experience developing financial strategies and managing complex financial operations
• Strong knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, accounting principles, and financial reporting
• Experience managing capital allocation, cash flow, financial audits, and corporate risk
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, financial regulations, and corporate governance
• Experience supporting fundraising, investment decisions, and business expansion initiatives
• Excellent executive leadership, analytical, communication, and strategic decision-making skills
• Ability to manage geographically distributed teams in a remote working environment
• A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field is required
• Experience within startups, technology companies, or other growth-oriented organizations is preferred
• An MBA, CPA, CFA, or relevant advanced qualification is preferred
