At brighthush, we’re redefining the way businesses harness data. As a forward‑thinking technology partner, we empower organizations across finance, healthcare, e‑commerce, and logistics with clean, actionable information that drives smarter decisions. Our culture is built on curiosity, collaboration, and a relentless commitment to quality. Whether you’re a seasoned data professional or just starting your career, brighthush offers a dynamic, inclusive environment where your contributions matter.

Why This Role Matters

Data is the lifeblood of modern enterprises. The accuracy, consistency, and accessibility of that data directly influence product launches, customer satisfaction, and regulatory compliance. As a Remote Data Entry Specialist, you’ll be the guardian of that integrity—ensuring every number, name, and note is captured correctly and stored securely. Your meticulous work will enable analysts, project managers, and executives to focus on strategy rather than chasing errors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurate Data Capture: Input, update, and verify information across multiple platforms—including CRM systems, ERP modules, and custom spreadsheets—using keyboard shortcuts, macros, and data validation tools.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Perform regular audits, cross‑reference entries with source documents, and flag discrepancies for resolution. Maintain a log of corrections and follow‑up actions.
  • Process Optimization: Identify repetitive tasks that can be automated, propose workflow improvements, and collaborate with the IT team to implement solutions such as scripts or form templates.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Generate weekly status reports summarizing volume, accuracy rates, and any outstanding issues. Keep detailed records of data sources, entry dates, and responsible personnel.
  • Compliance & Security: Adhere to data protection policies, including GDPR, HIPAA, and internal confidentiality guidelines. Ensure that sensitive information is stored and transmitted securely.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project leads, analysts, and other data specialists to clarify requirements, resolve ambiguities, and share best practices.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on new tools, industry standards, and best practices in data management. Attend virtual training sessions and contribute to the knowledge base.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in data entry, administrative support, or a related role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with database or CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
  • Typing speed of at least 45 words per minute with high accuracy.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering error‑free work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Self‑motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities independently.
  • Reliable internet connection, a quiet workspace, and a dedicated computer meeting minimum hardware specifications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with data cleansing tools (e.g., Trifacta, OpenRefine) or data integration platforms.
  • Knowledge of SQL or basic database querying.
  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks and quality metrics.
  • Previous remote work experience with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
  • Certifications in data management or related fields (e.g., DAMA‑DMBOK).

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to spot patterns, inconsistencies, and potential data gaps.
  • Problem Solving: Quick to troubleshoot entry errors and devise corrective actions.
  • Time Management: Prioritize tasks, meet daily quotas, and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with cross‑functional teams, even in a virtual setting.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable learning new tools, processes, and industry terminology on the fly.
  • Integrity: Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards when handling sensitive data.

We support continuous learning through monthly webinars, access to online courses, and a generous stipend for certifications. Your growth is our priority.
