Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. TekValue IT Solutions is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to build, operate, and troubleshoot event-driven data systems. The role focuses on reliable data ingestion, stateful stream processing, AWS-native data services, infrastructure as code, open table formats, schema governance, and securing HIPAA-regulated health data.
Skills
- 6+ years of production experience building, operating, and troubleshooting event-driven data systems
- Deep expertise in Apache Kafka, Kafka Connect, and log-based CDC tools like Debezium for reliable data ingestion
- Production-level Java skills for stateful stream processing using Apache Flink, including event-time semantics and checkpointing
- Proficiency in AWS-native data services (MSK, Glue, S3) and Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK or Terraform
- Expert-level SQL and Python, with hands-on experience managing open table formats like Apache Iceberg or Delta Lake
- Strong background in schema governance, data contracts, and securing HIPAA-regulated Protected Health Information (PHI)
