[Remote] Data Scientist

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Insight Global is recruiting a Data Scientist for an undisclosed client. The role analyzes healthcare data, develops predictive and machine learning models, and turns findings into business recommendations while collaborating with engineering and stakeholder teams.

Responsibilities

• Use Python and SQL to analyze large, complex healthcare datasets
• Build, enhance, and evaluate predictive and machine learning models
• Perform statistical, root-cause, and hypothesis-driven analysis to understand member behaviors and outcomes
• Turn analytical findings into recommendations that support short- and medium-term business decisions
• Identify member pain points, barriers to care, and opportunities for intervention
• Partner with engineering teams to move validated models toward production
• Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Measure the impact and ROI of programs and interventions

Skills

• 3+ years of relevant data science or analytics experience, including applicable internship experience
• Strong Python and SQL skills
• Hands-on predictive modeling and machine learning experience
• Strong statistical and analytical problem-solving skills
• Experience working with large, complex datasets
• Experience within healthcare, including payer, provider, pharmaceutical, or related environments
• Experience with a cloud analytics platform such as GCP/BigQuery, AWS, or similar
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical findings into business recommendations
• Master's degree in a quantitative field
• Medicare, Stars, population health, member experience, or clinical analytics experience
• Experience partnering with engineering teams to productionize models
• Tableau, Power BI, or similar visualization experience
