[Remote] Data Scientist, Part-Time AI Model Evaluation - Remote (United States)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. OpenTrain AI connects experienced professionals with paid, part-time AI training work. The Data Scientist will create and assess statistics and machine learning problems, write reference solutions, and provide structured feedback to help improve AI models.

Responsibilities

• Create expert prompts and datasets for statistics and machine learning problems
• Review AI answers to data science and experimentation problems, separating correct, incomplete and methodologically unsound approaches
• Write reference solutions using sound statistical and quantitative practice
• Explain flawed methods and weaknesses in quantitative reasoning through structured feedback

Skills

• At least one year of professional experience at a leading company in technology, finance or research, including recent experience within the past seven years
• Strong knowledge of data science, statistics, machine learning, experimentation and quantitative reasoning, with clear written and professional communication in English and the ability to work independently
• An undergraduate degree from a top-ranked university is preferred
