[Remote] Director Business Finance

Compass Life Solutions is seeking a Director Business Finance to lead financial planning and analysis in support of strategic decision-making. The role oversees budgeting and financial reporting, develops financial models and recommendations, and partners with leadership and operational teams to align financial strategies with business goals.

Responsibilities

• This position oversees budgeting processes, monitors financial performance, and prepares and reviews financial statements and reports for leadership
• The role includes developing financial models, identifying trends, and providing clear recommendations to optimize revenue, manage expenses, and ensure sustainable growth
• The Director Business Finance collaborates closely with executive leadership and operational teams to align financial strategies with business goals, maintain compliance with relevant regulations, and support new initiatives and partnerships
• Day-to-day activities involve managing financial data integrity, improving financial processes, and mentoring team members on best practices in finance and analytics

• Candidates should possess strong Finance and Financial Planning skills, with experience guiding strategic business decisions
• Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills to interpret data, identify trends, and produce actionable insights
• Candidates should possess Budgeting skills, including developing, managing, and forecasting budgets across multiple business units
• Candidates should possess expertise in preparing, analyzing, and presenting Financial Statements for internal and external stakeholders
• A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
• Demonstrated experience in financial leadership roles
• Strong proficiency with financial modeling tools, spreadsheets, and financial reporting systems
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial audiences
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• An advanced degree or professional designation (e.g., CPA, CFA) is a plus
• Within insurance, financial services, or a related industry
