Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Google is seeking an experienced Embedded Systems Engineer to support its enterprise XR/AR portfolio. The role focuses on system integration, hardware/software debugging, testing, performance analysis, and automation for embedded consumer devices.
Responsibilities
- System-level bring-up, integration, and debugging
- Develop and maintain system test plans for glasses and accessories
- Triage regressions and drive root-cause analysis across firmware, power/performance, and platform teams
- Support logging and telemetry for performance analysis
- Analyze MCU behavior, system headroom, and power performance
- Build automation tools for measurement and regression detection
Skills
- 4+ years of systems, platform, or integration engineering experience
- Embedded or consumer device experience
- JTAG, oscilloscope, and power measurement experience
- C/C++ and Python
- Strong debugging, regression triage, and data analysis skills
- XR/AR, wearables, or mobile devices
- Power/performance characterization
- Telemetry/dashboarding experience
