Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. LHH is recruiting on behalf of an unnamed professional services consulting company for a Finance Operations Manager. The role leads financial planning and analysis, project finance, reporting, and process improvement while partnering with operational leadership to support financial strategy and growth.
Responsibilities
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling across projects and business operations
- Revenue & Profitability: Manage revenue and backlog forecasts, evaluate project profitability, and identify financial risks and opportunities
- Business Partnering: Work closely with operational leadership to support strategic decisions, resource planning, and business performance
- Financial Reporting: Develop KPI dashboards, management reporting, and financial analyses to improve visibility into company performance
- Project Finance: Support project-level financial management, including work-in-progress (WIP), utilization, margins, and resource allocation
- Process Improvement: Help streamline financial workflows, improve reporting accuracy, and implement automation where possible
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in FP&A, Project Finance, or Finance/Business Operations
- Management level experience
- Experience in a professional services environment
- Experience with project-based financial reporting, revenue forecasting, profitability, and utilization metrics
- Advanced Excel skills
- Ideally architecture, engineering, design, or consulting
- Experience with BI tools and financial reporting systems
- Experience improving reporting processes through automation, AI, or other technologies
