[Remote] Financial or Business Analyst Senior

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Michigan Medicine is hiring a Financial or Business Analyst Senior to support the Internal Medicine Department’s financial reporting, forecasting, and decision support. The role provides financial services to four divisions and contributes to analysis and projects that improve reporting and internal processes.

Responsibilities

• Financial lead for four divisions, providing the following services:
• Assist in the calculation of the annual budget and mid-year forecasts
• Audit yearly Internal Controls processes/procedures
• Monthly financial variance reporting
• Prepare ROI's
• Enter Capital Equipment into Procurement website
• Aid/provide guidance for ad-hoc questions
• Prepare Monthly Hospital Financials, Professional Revenue (RVU) Report, PASS Report, and Chair Flash Report
• Process Moving Expense Reimbursements
• Post journal entries for various awards, faculty compensation, and intra-department transfers
• Participating in special projects to improve reporting, analysis, and internal processes

Skills

• Bachelors degree with a focus in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 5-8 years of financial experience
• Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite applications
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and writing skills
• Ability to work as a member of a team as well as independently
• Strong ability to balance multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Bachelors degree with a focus in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 2-5 years of financial experience
• Knowledge of University of Michigan systems and processes
• Financial experience in a healthcare setting
