[Remote] Freelance Earned Media Specialist

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Spectrum Science is seeking a Freelance Earned Media Specialist to support day-to-day earned media relations. The role handles media pitching, interview coordination, media list building, article review, and coverage tracking and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Media Pitching — Craft and send compelling pitches to journalists and editors to drive earned media coverage
• Media Interview Coordination — Schedule, manage logistics, and prep materials for media interviews
• Media List Building — Research and maintain up-to-date, targeted media lists across relevant beats and outlets
• Article Review & Proofing — Review and proof articles prior to publication, ensuring accuracy and consistency
• Coverage Tracking — Keep earned media coverage trackers current, organized, and easily reportable
• Coverage Flags — Draft timely coverage flags once earned stories go live for internal distribution
