Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Xcellent Technology Solutions (XTS) is hiring a GIS System Administrator to support the United States Geological Survey (USGS). The role provides maintenance and assistance for Esri applications, applies GIS workflow and dataset knowledge, and supports administration in Windows and Esri environments.
Responsibilities
- Providing essential assistance and maintenance of Esri applications
- Apply your understanding of GIS workflows and datasets within an elaborate GIS context
- Offering administrative support within the Windows and Esri environments
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in a related area and 2 years of relevant experience
- Minimum 4 years of verified relevant experience in lieu of degree
- Demonstrated experience resolving issues within Windows 11/Server environment
- Includes experience with configuration management practices and version control standards
- Ability to apply security updates and address vulnerabilities on client systems
- Familiarity with Esri software and ArcGIS Enterprise components
- Possesses strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple assignments independently in a remote environment
- Experience with other GIS applications like Global Mapper, GDAL, etc
